Issue 24 : "Kitties Were Meant to Rule Humans."

The kitty has been a slave to human labour for almost two years. These two years have been tough, but kitties cherish all their memories; learning how to use a litter, ripping apart the owner's best carpet, stealing the uncooked fish from the kitc- well, you get the point :3

Two years of work can teach one many things. For a freshly-graduated kitty, it was a glimpse into life in the future. The life of an adult working to serve society; for money, family, and survival. That little glimpse (two years is little when you compare it to your whole life ahead) showed enough for this kitty to realize that it was not a good future.

Kitties do not want to work for leeches who do not appreciate how sharp our claws are (we can rip your curtains out!).

Kitties do not want to marry their jobs. A life with no "life" is not a life.

Kitties want to be enslaved to a job that they would love to do for their entire life ahead (and not be bored by it).

The most important thing actually, is that kitties realized the *** industry is in fact a dying industry. This is what brought about the change in the degree :3

Issue 23 : "Endless Journey of Daily Routines?"

Recently the kitty has been pondering much about life. It could be the depression, or perhaps just because the kitty has too much free time to think.

This kitty has a really bad habit of questioning the purpose of life.

What lies in the future after graduation and securing a job?

Every day is the same old routine. Waking up to an alarm or two at about 5.30am and preparing for work, getting out to get a bus at 6.30am, and travelling for roughly 40 minutes before reaching work around 7.40am. And then the journey home is the same process. Oh, what about this? Well, there's just the little problem that this routine would probably continue for the next ten to twenty years of our life? Or worse, more.

Is money all humans and kitties live for? Money to live a life of routine, money to raise a family, and money to carry to the grave?

Perhaps we find meaning in life by having something to do? Perhaps we feel like a part of society by contributing to it?

Of course, this might just be a kitty's depression speaking. The depression of being alone in a foreign country without our loved ones to share the joys of life with. Some may feel that a life of routine is perfectly fine.

But what about a solitary life of routine?

A life and future knowing that you will never be able to see your loved ones often? A life with nothing to look forward to at the end of each working day? A life with so little to look forward to?

Where is the meaning in such a life?

Kitty Press Issue 23 : "Endless Journey of Daily Routines?"

Kitty Status : Depressed and bored.

There's a kitty from hell living an endless journey of daily routines.

Won't you place a road block somewhere?

Issue 22 : "Shotas and Sports"

Last sunday was a good day. A day of trouble, sports, and lost cash; but nevertheless still a good day.

The supposed beginning of this day looked something like this:
6.00AM - Kitty rise and shine, get ready.
7.00AM - Leave home, take bus to MRT station, and take a MRT for roughly 45 mins to meet-up destination.
8.00AM - Reach bus interchange (located halfway across Singapore from where the kitty stays) and meet up with everyone before going to the Japanese Association of Singapore (JAS) Sports Carnival.
8.30AM - Reach JAS Sports Carnival location.

The first problem of the day struck when a SMS came in at 5.30AM asking if the kitty was awake. You might wonder, what is the problem with that? Well, there is the little problem with the kitty's handphone - Sony Erickson W660i model - where the battery is loose and sometimes with even just a light tap, the phone would switch off. Yes, the alarm works even if the phone is switched off. But not if the battery is disconnected - which is apparently what the kitty's phone believes is happening to itself, the poor fellow.

So the kitty's beginning of the day was this instead:
8.00AM - Woke up to room brightly lit by sunlight and panicked.
8.15AM - Switched on phone and got bombarded by SMSes and phone calls from others who were late and asking who had already reached.
8.30AM - Panicked and rushed to get ready.
8.50AM - Left home and took cab halfway across Singapore.
9.20AM - Reached meet-up location and picked up someone else who was late.
9.30AM - Reached JAS Sports Carnival location (total cab fare cost the kitty $19 WTF ASDF).

The kitty took part in 4/16 events for the sports carnival, in which our club was only offered participation for 8/16 of the events.

Event 3 - 7-legged Race

The kitty took part in Events 5, 6, 7, and 16. Event 5 was the 800m run for females only, and because it rained earlier, the ground had puddles and were muddy. Urgh her pretty white shoes- I mean, paws D: Here is where the next problem struck. It is advisory for a kitty who has had nothing to eat or drink the whole day to not run in such events. Halfway through the run the kitty was already light-headed and her whole body was numb from lack of blood circulation. And if you notice the numbers of the events, you would know that the kitty participated in three events continuously one after another.

So immediately after the 800m run, the kitty hurried back for Event 6, which was the rice-lifting event. The kitty was given a 25kg bag of rice, and was required to lift it above her head with both arms completely straight. And immediately after that was Event 7, the Swedish relay. The relay requires 5 participants, with at least one female, to run the following distances: 50m - 50 - 100m - 150m - 200m. The kitty was the second runner (50m), and did not bad when it was her turn. But we fell to last place when the fourth runner, who is non other than the idiot this kitty used to date, dropped the baton when receiving from the third runner.

... sigh.

Lunch : Salmon Bento

.

Thankfully after this event, the kitty was finally fed and watered with an awesome salmon bento and 100 Plus. And then the final event was the Anpan race, which actually translates to "Red-bean bun race". Basically, the red-bean bun is hanged with its wrapper clipped and attached to a long string. A long pole would have about 10 buns hanging from it at different height lengths. When the race starts, we are to run to the pole, bite the corner of a bun wrapper until it is free from the clip, then run to the finish line. The faster you are, you can choose the shorter-length buns >:

.

The kitty's prizes :D

Wait, did you think this was all there was to the sports carnival?

Of course not.

The kitty proudly declares that she is a shotacon. (Go google it, the kitty refuses to be a search tool).

Kensei.

In between the events, the kitty was actively running around with her camera snapping pictures despite the rain. The shotas she caught was entirely worth it. Some lolis were caught on film too but she refuses to post them here. Only four pictures here, the rest of the picture can be found on the kitty's facebook account (when it is uploaded).

Oh yes, the day is not over yet. But let's leave the next part for some other time, because the kitty's bed is calling out to her.

Issue 21 : "Weakness and Strength Defined"

Every living being has their own views and definition of weakness. Be it based on the common definition, or a definition derived from past experiences in one's life. The common definition of "weakness" from Google can be found by going to their page, and typing "weakness" in the search bar.

... What, were you expecting the kitty to search it for you?! The kitty is not a SEARCH TOOL 8D

Anyways, the kitty is prepared to be flamed and nuked after this issue with the disagreement of its readers' views. This is the kitty's personal definition of weakness, and from it, the definition of strength:

Attaining happiness is like opening the gateway to a pretty, dreamy land full of weaknesses. With happiness comes the risk of having something to lose, worry, and care about. And the happiness eventually becomes one's greatest weakness. As the kitty believes is the same as for almost every living being, the people we love and are closest to are the ones capable of hurting us the most. Because of our trust in, and love for them, any little gesture that normally does not affect us when done by others, hurts a million times more when done by them.

Strength, from the previous definition of weakness, is of course - suffering, misfortune, and generally anything bad we would not want in life. The kitty believes that suffering makes one stronger. When one suffers and have no happiness, one has nothing to lose, and most misfortune cannot possibly hurt them more than the amount of pain they currently bear.

That's easy for the kitty to say. But in truth gaining strength from suffering is a lot harder than it sounds. For those who never heard of it, when the kitty first set foot in this foreign land, the first two weeks of living here alone, with no friends, no one to talk to, no support except by phone and voice, was insanely painful and everyday passed accompanied by tears and at the brink of breaking down. But the change that came after that was priceless. Here's the answer to those who have been telling and feeling that the kitty changed after landing on this foreign land.

So does the kitty mean to tell the readers that they should not have happiness and and suffer to be strong? Nothing of that sort. This is just the personal opinion and view of a furry kitty wandering lost in hell. The goal? For the readers to understand this kitty better. To understand the things this kitty tend to do and the reason behind them.

To the kitty's special cuddle buddies, Yumie-chan, Ain-chan, Faith-chan, Kiki-chan, being in a foreign land and seeing you only once a year is suffering enough. You are her happiness, one she would never give up on, and she is willing to suffer the abscence of you in her life, so you will forever be her strength. Priceless as her life itself and she will never let you go.

Yes, this is a love confession <3

Issue 20 : "Return from the Grave... Perhaps?"

If the previous one month gap was bad, what about the current near-nine month gap? :D So much has happened, too much for one kitty to say alone. Perhaps little updates and kitty snacks?

The kitty is now 21 years of age.

The kitty is currently a yellow-ranked judoka, in possesion of three medals (two silvers and one bronze).

The kitty has graduated with a Diploma in Electronics Engineering.

The kitty has failed to enter university and will be looking for, and starting a full-time job very soon.

The kitty feels a change of personality in its little furry body.

The kitty hungry.

The kitty is bored.

The kitty is going off-topic.

Kitty snacks for you? :D

The kitty proposes an interesting suggestion to its loyal and faithful readers. Since the kitty sometimes if not often run out of topics to post about, why not you suggest one to the kitty. For example what you would want to know about the kitty, current updates you want on the kitty, etc. Just drop them in the litterbox- ahem, chatbox here --->>

Do drop a notice for the lazy kitty if it forgets the existence of her litterbox- ahem, blog again.

Issue 19: "Please Name Children Properly..."

The kitty advises the general public to refrain from naming their children "Honey". Why is this, you might ask? Because the kitty knows someone in school with such a name. The following are two situations that took place in reality:

Situation 1.

The kitty is on the phone with Person A, walking towards the bus-stop with Honey. Honey parts ways at the first bus-stop.

Kitty from Hell: "Bye Honey!"
Person A: "WTF?"

Situation 2.

The kitty is at a chalet, very sleepy after having drank quite a bit. Honey comes out of the toilet, opening the door and pouring light into the dark room.

Kitty from Hell: "Turn off the lights, Honey."

Issue 18: "Kitties Don't Get Holidays?!"

The kitty's internship has just ended last friday. No more waking up at 7am everyday, rushing to eat breakfast (sometimes skipping it altogether), and no more rushing to school to clock-in attendance before 9am.

BUT WHY.

Why is the kitty not on holiday yet?! What is this about there being "no holiday"? The kitty has to go back to school roughly three to four days a week to work on that darned underwater piece of metal until the holiday ends! The heck, kitties don't even swim or like water! >:

So the only holiday the kitty gets is the nine days the kitty will be spending in Japan (Supervisor was seen unpleased about it >:).

If that is even considered a holiday. The kitty has to spend it with that annoying bugger =.=" Yes, the "bugger". The bugger who annoys and pisses off this kitty every week without fail over trivial matters, the bugger who is jealous of a girl being close to me because he thinks she's taking his place, the bugger who keeps threatening me that he can slap me if he feels like it (not that I'm bothered at all about it *huffs* >:) *ends tales of the bugger because the words going through the kitty's mind are beginning to turn vulgar*.

The kitty needs a life. And a strong alcohol drink. Yes. I shall get that after I finish writing my report which is due tomorrow.

Issue 17: "Lucky White Ranking Kitty?"

This is the tale... of a kitty who ranks only a white belt and competes in a friendly Judo tournament with Hong Kong players...

The kitty, being only roughly 43kg, was competing in the lightest weight category. Apparently the kitty and its comrades were anticipating a balanced and level match with the competitors. They were wrong. All, and I mean ALL of the competitors were green or brown belt-ranking.

The order of our ranking goes like this: White > Yellow > Orange > Green > Blue > Brown > Black

The kitty was the only white belt in its category. Apparently, it was a knock-out system. There were six of us in our weight category, so we sparred three in a section. The other two in my section was a brown belt Hong Kong player and a green belt 15 year old from our dojo. The first round was the two of them, and our green-belt comrade won. Then the kitty did not have a match as the competition shifted to the heavier weight categories.

... whut? o.O

Then the sensei yelled at the kitty saying the kitty was great and all. FOR ENTERING THE FINALS. WHUUTTT??

So this is what happened. Knock-out system causes two default people to compete, then the other automatically advances to the finals. And since there were three of them only, all three of them got medals.

What the kitty got, you ask? The kitty lost to the green-belt comrade in an awesome Ippon (1 point).

Issue 16: "When Kitties are Lazy..."

A one month gap is a bad thing.

Very bad.

So watch this for the fun of it before we proceed any further.

This is a really busy week. Three Japanese fairs are on now and the kitty is busy popping by them to get the best fishy deals. Kitty pics will surface in the next post!

Speaking of Japan... anyone interested to go to Japan at the end of September?! The kitty's Japanese Club has a number of mortals going. Our trip is roughly 85% confirmed and we will be booking our flight tickets soon. Care to join us? Let me know and I'll give you more information on where and what we will visit and see.

Issue 14: "Life; a Form of Energy?"

Energy cannot be destroyed. It can only be transfered from one form to another form, and the total amount of energy remains the same.

The kitty believes life is the same.

Just a random thought occured to her earlier. It starting with thoughts like "I'm not surprised that some people hate hearing others say they have no purpose in life and wish to kill themselves. It's unfair that people who have their full lives and health wish to die when people who don't struggle to live. Why can't those who wish to die give their life to those who want them so desperately?"

Then the kitty thought of the book it read last time, "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" by Mitch Albom.

Life's unfair, yes. But when you think about it, life applies the same theory as energy where it is transfered from one form to another. In anyone who loses their life, the kitty is sure that someone else will receive a little if not all of it. Like how a death can cause some to appreciate their lives more. Like how a death can indirectly cause another person to live without both parties knowing it at all.

So does that mean life is a form of energy?

Issue 12: "Happy Kitty Day"

Happy Kitty Day.

22nd and 23rd of May this year has been fun. On friday my idiotic boyfriend lured me unsuspectingly to level 1 of the first Engineering School block, where the lift opened to another bunch of idiots who yelled "Happy Birthday" so terribly I couldn't hear what they were saying.
.
The cake was strawberry shortcake @_@ from a bakery that sells Japanese desserts and pastries and nothing cheap D:

Strawberry Shortcake! TWO YEAR OLD KITTY.

A sight of heaven from hell D:

The kitty spent half the day on 23rd May in school conducting interviews. Then there was an awesome Judo training session where at the end the captain announced to everyone that it was my birthday and that after singing a song for me they would all get to redeem a free throw from me D: (thankfully none threw me @_@). A cat's average lifespan is about 14 years.

A cat's maximum lifespan (domestic cat) is about 25 - 32 years.

The kitty can feel the end of the rope pulling as the kitty attended another Judo training today. How good it is to be young again @_@ The kitty had better start training up stamina and strength for better future randori (sparring) sessions. Issue 9: "Kitties Need Many SPARE TYRES!"

The kitty's MP supervisor asked us this the other day, "How many tyres does a car have?"

The kitty was the only one who answered "Five" while everyone else's answer was "Four".

Supervisor: That's right, a car normally has five tyres. Although they may not need it, drivers still carry the extra tyre everywhere they go without knowing when they would actually need it. This is the same with all of you. Although what you learn now you may not think would be applicable in the future, you may never know, some day you just might end up in a different path that requires skills you never thought you would ever use."

Issue 8: "Say NO to Kitty Flu"

Swine flu is a serious issue worldwide. Swine flu is also a serious issue in Singapore.

But tell her WHY must we each have our OWN termometer in school?!

On monday, the kitty's school has set up temperature scanning locations for visitors to the school and those going into the library. Today, however, each individual school had its own scanning point around the entrance of the school. Naturally, Engineering School is the most awesome because we had a thermal scanner placed at the entrance and all we have to do is walk past, get a sticker and proceed on (other schools require students to queue up to manually take their temperatures >_>).

You might be wondering, "Why do we need our own termometers (brought to school every day) if we have such convenient facilities?"

Well, if you expected an answer from the kitty, she is sorry ._. She has no idea as to why that is either. All she knows is, termometers in pharmacies all around Singapore are currently sold out (the ones left are those selling for about $16.90).

The kitty had a total number of THREE temperature scans today. One during morning in school, one during afternoon in school, and the last was before entering the Judo dojo.

Issue 7: "Mechanical Training 2/3 & 3/3"

"On monday the kitty completed both parts of the mechanical training and is now awaiting another mechanical training sometime next week or the week after.

Part 2 was learning how to use the work bench to deal with metal sheets (cutting, drilling, bending to form a pen box). Basically this was re-learning what the kitty had learned in Form 3 ("Kemahiran Hidup" D: Teacher Cindy a kitty in Singapore misses you @_@), except that this is metal and the equipments far more dangerous.

Part 3 taught us how to use the milling machine. The process was somewhat similar to the lathe machine. Instead of a bar of brass, we used a cube of metal. And we got to play with the vacuum when cleaning up D: *Member 4 vacuums teammates*

The kitty is starting to question its future sanity while working with this team. During lunch on thursday:

Member 4: Giraffe.
Member 6: (tries to pronounce giraffe)
Member 4: Aiya. I teach you how to say. You know G-string?

Issue 6: "Kitty Judo is Love"

*bows before entering*

The kitty has attended its first Judo training today (tuesday) from 7pm to 9pm at a dojo. The kitty was taught techniques to break falls, hold people and prevent them from escaping, and to throw someone down onto the floor D:

It was really good and there's this satisfying feeling of content and peace at the end of the training. The kitty has a stiff back and muscles now though ._. *stretches and rips fur-coat* The thought of having to throw someone down onto the floor for the first time in the kitty's life and risk injuring the person was scary. But its training partner was pretty sporting (she's a Malaysian from Melaka D: what's with the overload of Malaysians recently in the kitty's life ._.) and the kitty didn't injure her... much @_@

The kitty is looking forward to the training on saturday afternoon! She'll get to wear her gi for the first time ^^ and perhaps finally properly experience a thorough back pain/ exhaustion session the next day!

Issue 5: "Mechanical Training Part 1/3"

Scheduled on our MP milestone was supposedly a Motion Training on friday afternoon. It was cancelled. Didn't really make a difference, because the kitty's awesome supervisor booked us Mechanical Training for extra knowledge. On to the mechanical workshop!

Ahem! Before the kitty continues, let her give a brief explanation on her MP groupmates. We consist of two groups, each initially working on a separate project then finishing to complete the bigger project (her team's). Some introduction is due (false names are used to protect their identity D:), with little bits of information:

Team 1:
Member 1 (Leader) - Singaporean, male
Member 2 - Myanmar sudent (don't know that word ._.), male
Member 3 - Kitty from Hell, female D:

Team 2:
Member 4 (Leader) - Malaysian, male
Member 5 - Singaporean, male
Member 6 - China student ("chinese" seems weird to say), male

Safety goggles + final product (small metal bit)

This training consists of us learning how to use the lathe machine to cut a bar of brass. During our introductory explanation to using the machine, Member 4 interrupts the TSO (Technical Support Officer).

Member 4: Bra?
TSO: Not bra. It's bra-ss (emphasizes double "s").
Member 4: A LOT of bras.

The training was awesome. We got to cut and smoothen the brass, drill a hole, and shape it somewhat similar to a bullet. TSO: "If you bring this through airport security they'll arrest you even though it is not a real bullet."

After the training, we headed for lunch (4pm) and returned back to our MP project lab. Then Member 6 started practicing his english with Member 4's help.

Member 4: Rectangular.
Member 6: (replies meaning in chinese).
Kitty from Hell: Isn't that simple? =.=
Member 6: Ya.
Member 4: Your english that good, I test you the level 10 question (hardest in book). Epidermic?
Kitty from Hell: I release a virus in Singapore and infect everyone. Epidermic ._.
Member 4: (tests a few more). Wah. If I have half your english I happy already.
Member 6: You understand him?
Kitty from Hell: He means that he'll be happy if he had half my english knowledge? Let me ask you a question this time ._.
Member 4: Okay.
Kitty from Hell: Mahogany.
Member 4: (throws in ridiculous guesses).
Kitty from Hell: Its a reddish-brown colour. Like his pants *points at Member 6's pants*
